Guava
Guava is native to tropical America. The plant is widely adopted as a crop in tropical regions throughout the world. Today, India is the world production leader accounting for 50% of the global production. There are two main commercial varieties—White Guava and Pink Guava.
Guava is a rich source of dietary soluble fiber, Vitamin C, potassium and minerals.
Guava puree quality is judged by its flavor and “body.” High soluble fiber yields a smooth and viscous texture. The creamy smooth texture, however, is fully realized only when grit, known as stone cells, is removed.
Spectrum Fruits markets silky smooth guava puree of both White and Pink Guava.
