Lemon (Citrus limon) is a yellow, oval citrus fruit with thick skin and fragrant, acidic juice. Lemons contain vitamin C, B6, A, E, folate, thiamin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, copper, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and phosphorus. Extracted juice from lemon, or zest from the skins, are used for adding tangy flavor to many recipes as well as mixing with water for lemon juice. They can be sliced thinly to cook with several recipes. Because their acidic and refreshment aroma properties, they are also used for household cleaning and also as a deodorizer.
